Jane Birkin’s original Birkin bag sells for $10 million at auction! According to fashion lore, the first Birkin bag was born when the Franco-British actress and singer sat next to Hermes executive Jean-Louis Dumas on a flight in 1984 and told him she needed a stylish yet functional bag as a young mother. Ferrari’s Bold New Model – “Amalfi”
Ferrari has been working on new design directions since ending its partnership with Italian design firm Pininfarina in 2017, after the launch of the F12. This week, Ferrari introduced the Amalfi, a model that stands out and not necessarily in a good way. It might become the most criticized Ferrari design in history. But the power is still there: 630 horsepower, 0–100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, and a top speed of 320 km/h. (Price: $283,000).
Another fact: Pininfarina also worked with Türkiye’s TOGG project.

Erdogan Claims Victory — But Exposes Hypocrisy
President Erdogan called the PKK’s symbolic disarmament a national victory on Friday. Yet just months ago, he accused the opposition CHP of “partnering with terrorists” for working with the pro-Kurdish DEM Party.
Now, in a stunning U-turn, Erdogan himself has aligned with DEM — the very group he once demonized — all to secure votes for the next election.
This isn’t leadership. It’s political survival at any cost — where truth bends, and power rules.

The Only Painting Van Gogh Sold
Vincent van Gogh is one of the world’s most famous painters, not just for his art, but also for his emotional and tragic life. He started painting at age 27 and died at 37, creating over 2,100 works in just 10 years. The most famous part of his story? He sold only one painting while he was alive. This week I finally found out which one: The Red Vineyard. Strange that I never thought about this before…
(Also, did you know there’s a unique way to pronounce “van Gogh”?)

China Starts Digital ID System
Starting July 15, China will roll out a digital identity system. Citizens will register through a special app using facial scans and personal data. From then on, all digital services will require this ID. The official reason? Better security and less fraud.
My take? It’s more about monitoring “problematic” citizens — but maybe I’m just being suspicious…
